I found an article on sky talking about the toys which have been sent to orphanages.
In the middle of that is a line which i am sure the mcanns wanted picked up subliminally, as far as i can see nobody noticed it.
it says -
"the soft toys were washed by schoolchildren before bbeing packed"
what does it matter if they were washed, who washed them?
I think they want people to put the two together and think "schoolchildren washed the soft toys, kate washed the cuddlecat, schoolchildren are innocent........."

I think the point that the toys were washed and clean, as well as safe for other children to play with a highly valid one, especially with soft toys that children have close contact with.

Well, Kate McCann ISN'T a school kid so what's her excuse?
i think she is saying that if schollchildren would wash them then anyone might wash them quite innocently including kate.
then again i could be wrong.
That sentence about the schoolchildren just seemed strange. You might say they were washed, but not who by.
I totally get your point soman, and you may well be right that this is the McCanns' thinking but it is totally flawed!
There is NO excuse for what Kate did in washing CC- NONE whatsoever and that is not just IMO!
i totally agree with you, no mother would wash her childs scent off cuddlecat, but this news report came from somewhere and i think it is the macnns giving themselves an excuse for it.
Jazzy, Yes, it was important for the toys to be washed as they were going to be played with by other children. But the Cuddlecat situation was totally different. Kate washed her missing daughter's scent off her so-called favourite toy. Why would she have done that? Unless she was a cleanliness freak, which I don't think she was if all the rotting meat etc in the back of their hire car was anything to go by!!

exactly rose.nobody would wash the cuddlecta if their child was missing.nobody would have let it get covered in suntan cream in the first place i dont think - that was the excuse she gave.
Rose, I think far too much is being read into every move and action of these two people. I cannot see how, even if they ARE guilty every move, utterance and action they are responsible for indicates their guilt beyond any doubt, as is indicated by posters here, day after fay. I have no idea if, how or why the cat was washed, none at all.

the toys would have been scruffy out in the elements, are you saying they should ahve been sent to kids in that condition? as a parent helper at school, we wash all cuddly toys that have been donated that are second hand b4 selling them in fetes etc.
why do people insist on seeing stuff that isn't there? we must be up to the thousandth theory on this forum by now fgs

No offence, but i think you are reading into that particular point too deeply. I'm not ruling out subliminal messages in their statements etc. as that is how liars behave as they attempt to shape things their way. But i don't think this is an example of it.
