these are the words madeleine is meant to have been crying on the night kate and gerry were reported to the complex staff
can someone please translate this from portuguese of give some clarity on what mrs fenn is reported to have said
if the words i eat i eat were being said then could this relate to m being sick and trying to say that she had eaten something which was making her ill

If anything like my son and my daughter, a helluva lot better than that, but Maddie's words may have been translated into Portuguese and mistranslated back into English, or badly translated by Google.

Surprisingly well.
I remember the first telephone conversation I had with my twins. They were three at the time (at the most, possibly a little younger), but I was amazed at how I could actually have a proper conversation with them.
(Without the visual cue of being with them I tried to imagine how old the person on the other end of the line was. It was my first 'omg, they're growing up!' moment)
yes I think this is more than likely. Children of this age do know when they are doing something naughty and will often even draw attention to the fact....
If this was the case, the shame is that no one was around to pay any attention.
I've been imformed that illicit drugs numb the tongue for a short while, maybe even burn a little. If Maddy had digested anything she would have tried it with her tongue first...could be relevent.

YES ,WHY couldn't we hear her voice?Would it have been too painful for them to hear it constantly on TV or radio? This is to me an element of evidence that they are guilty.
Anyone would have thought of broadcasting a missing person's voice in the 1st place. How people are supposed to look and hear for a child without the voice?!
The only one we now have is their "festive" appeal,it came all that time after,it's on Sky/"Madeleine" section.
Only one word "Look!",we can hear when she opens her present then the friend says "AH WOW ", loudly .
