I think this fairy tail article deserves a deep analyses....
Because of its excellency in spin and blshulit !
I know it’s a little bit outdated but it still tell us a lot ! Unfortunately for the mc’s team, exactly the contrary of what they expected !
The only answer i can give to the one(s) that wrote this siht is....

PLEASE DON'T CALL ME STUPID !!!!!!!!! Twisted Evil

I just don't like it.... OK?

So please, just read this....

Nice start..... Wink

“....Locals and holidaymakers had started circulating photocopied pictures of Madeleine, while others continued searching the beaches and village apartments. People were talking about what had happened or sat silently, staring blankly. We didn't see any police.....”

of course not you didn’t, if you just....

“... lay by the members-only pool staring at the sky. Round and round, the helicopters clacked and roared. Their cameras pointed down at us, mocking the walled and gated enclave. Circles rippled out across the pool. It was the morning after Madeleine went

To the woman who wrote this….

“….Through Murat we answered a few questions and gave our details, which the policeman wrote down on the back of a bit of paper. No notebook. Then he pointed to the photocopied picture of Madeleine on the table. "Is this your daughter?" he asked. "Er, no," we said. "That's the girl you are meant to be searching for." My heart sank for the McCanns….”

I only say….please don’t spit into the air….

“….Earlier that day there had been tennis lessons for the children, with some of the parents watching proudly as their girls ran across the court chasing tennis balls. They took photos. Madeleine must have been there, but I couldn't distinguish her from the others. They all looked the same - all blonde, all pink and pretty.

Lady…. I think you need a good pair of eyeglasses don’t you? Or…simply you didn’t really know the girl !!!! You should be more careful writing this ….

Now remember KM saying she felt that someone was watching her family?

Well !!! I think I know who that could be….lol

“…Jes and Gerry were playing on the next court. Afterwards, we sat by the pool and Gerry and Kate talked enthusiastically to the tennis coach about the following day's tournament. We watched them idly - they had a lot of time for people, they listened. Then Gerry stood up and began showing Kate his new tennis stroke. She looked at him and smiled. "You wouldn't be interested if I talked about my tennis like that," Jes said to me. We watched them some more. Kate was calm, still, quietly beautiful; Gerry was confident, proud, silly, strong. She watched his boyish demonstration with great seriousness and patience. That was the last time I saw them that day. Jes saw Gerry that night".

WOW…. This lady is quiet observent!!!!! For normal people it whould take time to get a picture with a detaile like this! No wonder K feels she was beeing watched!…..

AH!!! ….. and don’t forget this woman while she observes she also….

“….The children went sailing and swimming, played tennis and learned a dance routine for the end-of-week show. Each morning, our daughter ran ahead of us to get to the kiddie club. She was having a wonderful time. Jes signed up for tennis lessons. I read a book. He made friends. I read another book.”….

Fantastic!!!

“….We lay by the members-only pool staring at the sky. Round and round, the helicopters clacked and roared. Their cameras pointed down at us, mocking the walled and gated enclave. Circles rippled out across the pool. It was the morning after Madeleine went.”…..

and

“….. We pretended, for the children's sake, that this was nothing unusual. Later on, our daughter saw herself with Daddy on TV. That afternoon we sat by the members-only pool, watching the helicopters watching us. We didn't know what else to do”.

….How about getting a nice sun tun!! All day? Morning and/or afternoon?

----------------------------------------

When they arrived the weather was nice….

“….We could see the beach and a big blue sky. We went outside to explore.”

But….

“…The Mark Warner nannies brought the children to the Tapas restaurant to have tea at the end of each day. It was a friendly gathering. The parents would stand and chat by the pool. We talked about the children, about what we did at home. We were hopeful about a change in the weather. We eyed our children as they played. We didn't see anyone watching.”

My dear, as far as I can see on that “last photo” it was a fantastic sunshine day!!!! So why were you hopeful about a change in weather? Don’t tell me you miss your rainny weather???????

( Can someone check the weather at PDL in that week? )
Wink

“….So my heart goes out to them, Gerry and Kate, the couple we remember from our Portuguese holiday. They had a beautiful daughter, Madeleine, who played and danced with ours at the kiddie club. That's who we remember”

Who? Maybe the parents but not the girl ...don’t you remember?

“….. Madeleine must have been there, but I couldn't distinguish her from the others. They all looked the same - all blonde, all pink and pretty.”

This was, as far as you want us to believe, on the 3rd May! You had a whole week to know M well, didn’t you?

Laughing

I know it's outdated but i only post it because of Coldwater thread "The case as of Today" and "the Forged last Photo" by theAuthor

I think this analyses very pertinent AFTER reading that Threads. The 2nd May theory makes alot of sense. And i do believe it !!!

I think this is a deliberately confusing article and appears to drift from one day into another and back until I am left wondering which day she is referring to.

Did this woman actually see Kate and Gerry at all on the 3rd or is she writing this and cobbling together a scenario of what happened at some time or another on the holiday.

Did she get paid for the article?

There is no specific mention of Madeleine being there or any of the other children of Gerry and Kate's and would this woman even recognise them if they had been.

It doesn't have the ring of accuracy about it but no doubt would be thoroughly approved by the McCanns for publication.

My months with Madeleine??????

What struck me was the heading "My months with Madeleine" which may or may not have been even one hour as she had not real memory of Maddie herself - just one of the many girls in pink.

She night have met Maddie's parents and it is in doubt whether she actually met Kate, but did she actually meet and talk to Maddie?.

Jes' meeting with Gerry was probably on May 2 not May 3 too. Jes may have lied. Otherwise it was information told to her by Jes via Gerry. She probably only saw Gerry on another table and that was it.

IMHO this has been doctored by Clarrie and she is trying to protect Jes who was supposed to have spoken to Jes on May 3. But Gerry did not get to the table until 8.58pm (reported by Rachel Oldfield) and he did not leave the table (as reported by the waiter who is now in hiding).

What Gerry has been doing is stating things that happened on previous days as if they happened on May 3 just to confuse us and give him alibis.

She did not spend months with Maddie. My guess is that she did not even know Maddie.

What a bizarre writing style. It alternates between long descriptors peppered with flowery phraseology and sentences comprised of monsyllable words ("we stared at the big blue sky") reminiscent of the "See Spot Run" readers for first graders. Confused

I don't think one person wrote that POS..... I think it had more than one contributor.

I have a doubt...

When she wrote ...they were all blond, pink and pretty, this "pink" is the color of their clothes or the color of their skin? I Think it's their skin color....after getting some sunshine on !!!!

Nevermind, you have some really good observations. It seems to me that the day that the writer referred to the people around the pool wishing for a change of weather was on the 2nd of May. From the websites below it seems it was sunny on the 28th and 29th of April(though windy) and rather cloudy and windy on the following days until the 3rd of May. when it may have become clear again. I originally used this info to try to place the date of the "last photo" so was checking for weather for around 2:30 PM each day. So weather may HAVE been beautiful when they first arrived and later got bad.

Just a thought, it might be worth reading it again and imagine while reading it that she is not as fond of them as she makes out and see if there might be a slightly different message in there.

I am not sure that she actually does them any favours

Thanks, nevermind, for reposting this article.
I like the idea that this woman O´D lay by the poolside during the search for MM and only now wriggles her fingers enough to accept a paycheck for the article.
Still, we are told (whether it is true or not?) that the woman O´D donated the filthy lucre to the Fund, so that´s OK.
An interesting point, that this product could have been written by several people.

“…. Six days earlier we had landed at Faro airport. The coach was full of people like us, parents lugging multiple toddler/baby combinations. All of us had risen at dawn, rushed along motorways and hurtled across the sky in search of the modern solution to our exhaustion - the Mark Warner kiddie club.”

I’m not judging anyone here, but there are things difficult to be accepted by me… maybe my fault!

I’m not English, I’m Portuguese but putting our cultural and other differences apart there are still some common characteristics above all this differences we all share, at least as parents, I think!

I went to Cuba this summer! And we all go as a family of 4, two kids, boy, (17) and girl with 8 . And one of the best things we remember from this holidays was the happiness of our little girl (I know she’s a little bit older…) .She was in heaven! Well the boy was not very happy, just because he was apart from his sweetheart…We where always together even they could go wherever they want just because we were at a resort, and fill save to let them do so! But never in our mind we ever look for this “modern solution” called “kiddie club”!
Maybe this is not a good example because of kid’s age, but even when she was a little baby, and latter on, wherever we go she goes with us! We never dumped her in any kiddie’s club! And we always take her with us when we where going to restaurants with our friends! And they take their kids to!!! Let me tell you this little story! We use to go to the Algarve very often because I have a house there! And we always met our friend and very often we go dinner with them! Once we where 15/20 people at a table including children! And funny, they usually behave like normal people, because they are used to socialize with adults in this kind of environments! I know some are real pain in the a$$, but those normally are the exception that confirms the rule! Why am I telling you this? Well, just because on a table near ours there where 2 english couples, maybe in their 50's, staring and smiling at us! No problem about that, we didn’t feel like K being watched! Till one of the ladies stands up and get near our table, and talk with us! She was just enchanted with us and especially with our kids behaviour, and she had to tell us that because that would be impossible in their homeland! No one ever take his kids out to dinner! We smiled and appreciate their sympathy! We fell that strange but…. Wink

Returning to our thread….

The message beyond the visible I think it’s obvious! She didn’t want us to know that her main concern was to find a resort with the modern solution to their exhaustion – the kiddie’s club. And, we really don’t care much about that either! Her main concern was to tell us that ALL those were looking for the same…. get rid of their kids and enjoy some “adult time”. And in her mind that was perfectly normal!

Dam, this woman should never call her article “ My months with Madeleine”

...to be continued!
