"Dark forces at work in Madeleine case - There are dark forces acting against me over the Madeleine McCann case and I cannot speak freely here so I am resigning from SKY news, apparently. This is what someone, masquerading as me, posted on the internet last night until it was removed. 'I have the truth about this sad case, I know what happened on that tragic night', is what I am supposed to have written. If only. More chillingly, a former colleague who also discovered 'the truth' is said to be dead and I am in fear of my life. Phew. I don't think I know anymore in 2008 than I knew in 2007 except there are new 'witnesses' who saw Robert Murat outside the apartment the night Madeleine disappeared - when he insists he was at home with his mum. None of them, of course, know him and all have seen his picture a hundred times on telly and in the newspapers. None of those who do know him and who were out searching that night has said he was there. In fact, after he was questioned and gave police his alibi, those searchers were all re-interviewed by the police. They were asked directly if they saw him - and all said they didn't."
