I have asked the question for a long time....

How can they be charged with neglect?

We only have their word that the children were left alone on May 3. (and preceeding days)

The PJ believe that Maddie was dead and they simulated an abduction.

If Maddie wasn't alive when the McCanns went to the tapas that night (which is more than probable) then there was no neglect.

They were gone for less than 80 minutes and during that time 'supposedly' checked on the children, or were near the apartment several times leaving, at the longest, only a small window of around 20 minutes when the children would have been alone.

Even if their story was true, that is the amount of time considered acceptable by Mark Warner babysitting services.

How could it have all 'happened' that night?

How could Madeline be alive at 8.40pm (approx), die accidentally, to be 'found' at the first check by Gerry at 9.05pm, then he 'deals' with the situation, pops outside and has a chat with Jez, return to the tapas and have her body removed after the time needed for cadaver dogs to establish the scent, and act as if there was an abduction?

Impossible in my opinion..not in 80 minutes.

So, Madeleine was dead when they left the apartment and the PJ know that.

They also know that the McCanns lied about making checks on the children, probably throughout the holiday. They went out of their way to tell all and sundry how they left their children alone, (Gerry told Jez Wilkins more than once)

They needed to tell everyone about leaving the children alone, to give credence to the abduction otherwise it would have been impossible and the plan wouldn't work.

One of the T7 was away from the tapas on at least three of the four nights, so it is possible they could have been 'responsible' prior to Madeleine dying, and lied about neglect...a necessary evil if you are planning a fake abduction.

The PJ know that May 3 was 'used' to act out the final 'scene' of the abduction and that there was nothing to support 'neglect'....only the McCanns lies (as a trade-off for the truth)..

Where is there anything to confirm their 'neglect'?

To suggest there was neglect on May 3rd, suggests that Madeleine was alive when they left the apartment...and therefore, the McCanns may not be implicated.

Suggesting neglect only supports the McCanns lies that there was an opportunity for an abduction.

From what I see, the PJ would have nothing of any relevance to support neglect because it didnt happen...not on May 3rd anyway.

Is it just me?

Have I missed something?
