Link from above article, re missing Yeremi.
Yeremi's mother has proved reticent to compare the case of Yeremi with that of Madeleine McCann - Her parents have opted for another way, which is fine by us, but we're not looking for such (media) repercussion. They have invited us to go to England to take part in meetings with them and to record a programme, but we have refused. We consider it to be an unnecessary circus which would not bring anything positive in our search for Yeremi.

There is also this in the statement from Yeremi's parents.
"Now his parents have placed a denuncia before the Guardia Civil after discovering that there are webpages on the internet which have been using their son’s picture ‘to ask for money or make money in some way’. The family say they want to make it completely clear that such pages are doing so without their permission. ‘Anything that asks for money and uses data about the disappearance of Yeremi is a fraud’ they say.
The parents, Ithaisa Suárez and Juan Francisco Vargas say they consider it to be ‘immoral’ that people are trying to sell or raise money on the disappearance of a child."
These poor people Yeremi's parents. I hope they find their son soon. They are not motivated by greed or status. They just want their child safe and home.

Good for Yeremi's parents !! A much more natural response I think and I wouldn't want to join the McCanns circus either.
that's less calls than stupid quiz shows that everyone know s to be a fraud - and which also charge premium rates get.
And yes, the same caller can call a hundred times.
Oh, and let's not forget that OFFCOM busted the guilty TV comapnies that perpetrated the fraud on some desperate quiz junkies who dreamed of wining thousands.
Probably a lot of the same people who believe the Mutanto 3 are a detective agency with a working phone line.

I can only agree.
As for the 347 calls generated from the McCanns sickening Christmas 'address to the nation'. I'm betting 300 of those were from dear old biddies who genuinely believe they saw her in Tesco or when they were on holiday in Torrevieja 4 years ago and the remaining calls being some 14 year old who's got drunk on alcopops and thinks it's a hilarious way to utilize his/her new mobile phone.
1) Do you trust a professional police force with backup from other professional police forces around the world knitted together by international organisations like Interpol? Do you listen to the advice they give you?
or
2) Or do you put your trust instead in a back street detective agency in another country, an agency that has no experience of this kind of case?
